MINI-NECK LIFT
You Are a Candidate if:
| • |
You have localized deposits of fat in the anterior part of the neck, under the chin. |
| • |
You have muscle laxity under the chin only. |
| • |
You have sagging, with skin folds in the anterior part of the neck under the chin. |
Intended Result
| • |
A more youthful neck with a better contour. |
Procedure
| • |
The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia or using I.V. Sedation (twilight sleep) in our AAAASF certified surgical facility. |
| • |
An incision is made under the chin. |
| • |
Fat may be suctioned or directly excised, muscles may be tightened, and a small amount of skin may be removed – all depending on individual findings. |
Recuperation and Healing
| • |
The patient goes home with the chin wrapped in dressings or in an elastic neck sling. |
| • |
Initial discomfort is easily controlled with oral medication. |
| • |
Most swelling and bruising usually disappears within two to three weeks. |
| • |
The final result is evident in three to six months, as skin heals and tightens. |
| • |
Rapid recovery is the rule, with patients returning to non-physical work in a day or two. |
