FULL NECK LIFT

You Are a Candidate if:

You have skin sag or a “turkey neck” with or without excess fat.
You have horizontal or vertical neck banding.

Intended Result

A more youthful and less saggy neck contour.
A reduction in neck fat (adipose tissue.)
    A tightening of neck muscles.

Procedure

The procedure is usually performed using I.V. Sedation (twilight sleep) in our AAAASF certified surgical facility.
Incisions are usually made around and in back of the ears and under the chin.
Occasionally, incisions are made in the middle of the neck.
Excess skin and fat are removed after the muscles are tightened.
A surgical drain may be placed to minimize swelling.

Recuperation and Healing

The patient usually goes home with the chin wrapped in dressings or in an elastic neck sling.
An elastic sling may be worn after the dressings are removed.
Initial discomfort is easily controlled with oral medication.
Most swelling and bruising usually disappear within two to three weeks.
The final results may take up to six months, but changes are apparent within days after surgery.
Rapid recovery is the rule, with patients returning to non-physical work in one week.

Other Options

    • Liposuction may be combined with neck lift procedures.
    • Eyelid and facelift procedures are often done in conjunction with neck lifts.
