FOREHEAD LIFT

You Are a Candidate if:

You have a brow that sags and causes “hooding” over the outside corner of the eyelid.
You have an “angry” look due to the slumping of the eyebrows towards the bridge of the nose.
    You have excess forehead tissue.
You have noticeable forehead wrinkles and creases.

Intended Result

A more alert and rested appearance.
Smoothing of the forehead lines and creases.
    Decreased excess upper eyelid skin.

Procedure

The procedure is usually performed under I.V. Sedation (twilight sleep) in our AAAASF certified surgical facility.
Incisions are designed in front of or behind the hairline, or in the forehead creases, depending on your particular anatomy.
Weakening of the muscles that are responsible for pulling the brow down and release of fibrous tissue limiting brow elevation is performed during the procedure.
    Excess skin is removed.

Recuperation and Healing

Most patients feel well enough to perform non-physical work in five to seven days.
Pain is typically mild and limited.
Swelling is noticeably improved in seven to fourteen days with minimal bruising.
Some may develop black eyes immediately after surgery.
Return to full exercise activity in four to six weeks.
